Stacey Thomas is one of our amazing Real Estate Paralegals! She started her career in law September 1989 as a typist. Stacey learned about many areas of law but found real estate the most rewarding. By 1991 she had was working exclusively in the area of real estate and hasn’t looked back. Throughout her career, Stacey has practiced in areas of new home construction, as well as hotel and condominium development. She has seen market fluctuations come and go. She is also fortunate to work in an industry to that allows her to learn something new every day. She has worked at 5 firms in nearly 3 decades and feels Summit Legal Group has the finest people she's ever had the pleasure of working with (we agree!). The team makes real estate fun and rewarding for the clients, realtors, and mortgage brokers that we deal with every single day. Stacey calls Summit her home away from home, and we're glad to have Stacey as part of our 'Summit family'.
Q. Why did you decide to become a Lawyer?
A. I am not a lawyer, I am a paralegal and I got pulled into the business by a friend of mine who worked in the industry. I was hired as a typist in September 1989 and have learned from then on. I absolutely LOVE what I do, so rewarding.
Q. What is the last song you listened to on your MP3 player?
A. I don’t listen to music on my ipad, but I did listen to The Honest Guys Meditation for Anger, that was the last thing I listened to. I try to listen to one meditation each morning, depending on my mood.
Q. If your life was a book, what would the title be?
A. Scattered because that is how I feel most of the time, on an inward level, even though I may not always appear this way.
Q. What was your favorite subject in high school?
A. Electronics because I wanted to be an electrician when I ‘grew up”, but unfortunately my life did not follow this path.
Q. If you could meet one person from history, who would it be?
A. Stephen Hawking, as he was absolutely brilliant and I loved his philosophies and life outlook even with his health struggles.
Q. If you could have a Superpower, what would it be?
A. Reading minds of people or being invisible….. more so being invisible as then I could be a sneaky sneak and spy on people.
Q. What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?
A. Too many to answer, but probably winning meet and greet tickets to Keith Urban, because I am a HUGE fan of Keith and very starstruck by him, such a great person and performer!
