We recognize the important role we play ensuring your legal matters are attended to. We are working to implement contingency plans to mitigate any potential complications that could arise due to an office closure, or further limitations on client interaction.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISITORS TO OUR OFFICE

The health and safety of our clients, our team and our families is VERY important to us. The emergence of COVID-19 has changed the way we engage. Due to the risk of transmission, we have instigated strict hygiene protocols and have implemented the following protective measures:

  • REVIEW AND SIGNING OF DOCUMENTS: 

    • Teleconference review of ALL documents (60 min appointment approx.)

    • In person witnessing of documents booked on the same day as teleconference review (usually in the afternoon after the teleconference review). Swearing of affidavits and original signatures are required for Lender documents and Alberta Land Titles. Identification verified in person (5-10 min appointment)

    • Docusign version of documents sent for signing of all documents that do not require witnessing

  • REDUCING OFFICE TRAFFICONLY THOSE REQUIRED TO SIGN documents are asked to attend the office.  Neighbouring businesses have closed or reduced all unnecessary visitors to the building.

  • LAWYERS wear face masks and gloves during signing and wash hands prior.

  • CLIENTS

    • Must WASH HANDS prior to meeting - wash station located at front of office.

    • Are invited to wear face masks and gloves (masks provided on request).

    • Are provided a BRAND NEW PEN for signing. Clients take pens with them at the end of the signing or they are discarded.

  • SIGNING ROOMS are STERILIZED WITH UV LIGHT and HYDROGEN PEROXIDE (table and chairs) between every appointment.

  • COURIER DELIVERIES are deposited in a bin at the entrance threshold and sterilized with UV LIGHT.

  • STAFF are constantly observed for signs and symptoms of COVID-19

    • We abide by all government/health care recommendations 

    • BODY TEMPERATURES are monitored and recorded daily

  • SANITIZATION PROTOCOLS for all office touch-points within the building - railings, door handles, elevator buttons, etc. are sanitized throughout the day.  

  • Magazines and toys have been removed.

VERY IMPORTANT: Are you showing any symptoms associated with COVID-19? (fever, persistent cough, shortness of breath) or, have you recently returned from travel outside of Canada? 

PLEASE CONTACT our office prior to attending your appointment so that we might discuss your options.   

We are uncompromising in our efforts to uphold the safety of our clients and team. Clients who

attend our office that exhibit symptoms of COVID-19, ignore quarantine guidelines,

or, are unwilling to comply with social distancing or hygiene protocols will not be seen.
